Nothing is more important than your child’s safety, but in the crazy, busy world we live in, putting safety education at the top of the to-do list isn’t always easy. At the American karate Institute, we believe physical and mental strength improve the safety of your child.
Two very important factors that contribute to safety are physical and mental strength. As a parent, you want to help teach your child how to keep themselves as safe as possible. When your child is both physically and mentally strong they are able to not only be positive leaders for their peers, but they are able to defend themselves and seek safety if needed.
With mental strength comes the importance of confidence. When your child is confident they are mentally stronger, as they believe in themselves and their abilities more. They tend to have a more positive attitude, knowing that they are capable of what they are determined to do. If put in a dangerous situation, being mentally strong will allow your child to think on their feet and defend themselves.
Just as important as mental strength, is physical strength. If your child is presented with a harmful situation, physical strength will allow them to defend themselves and seek safety quickly. They will become confident in their physical abilities and their overall safety will be increased because of the level of their mental and physical strength.
